About the role

Ski Japan Travel is hiring a Guest Services Manager in Niseko to lead its front desk teams, including Night Operations, Resort Representatives and Guest Services Administration. You will train and support the team, handle guest complaints, keep procedures up to date, prepare monthly rosters and timesheets, and work the front line with the team when needed. It is full time, 5 days a week, averaging 40 hours (more from late December to mid February). The hourly rate depends on experience and is set at interview. Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the front desk teams, including Night Operations, Resort Representatives and Guest Services Administration
  • Train, guide and develop the team, monitor performance and keep morale high
  • Respond to guest complaints
  • Keep departmental procedures up to date and followed
  • Prepare monthly rosters, timesheets and hours calculations
  • Support the team on the front line: check-ins, enquiries and bookings
  • Keep work areas, uniforms and service standards up to standard

Requirements

  • English
  • An International Driving Permit
  • A Working Holiday Visa (held or eligible)

Nice to have

  • Previous management experience
  • Front desk, guest services, concierge or reservations experience
  • Japanese/Chinese/English bilingual
  • Travel/tourism, cash handling or office experience
  • Some ski or snowboard experience
  • Previous driving experience (snow-driving training provided)
