About the role

Ski Japan Travel's Guest Services team in Hirafu, Niseko, is hiring Shuttle Bus Drivers. You will drive staff on a set route and schedule between Kutchan and Hirafu in heavy snow, inspect the bus daily, clear snow from it and warm it up before departure. International staff need an International Driving Permit with a Class D stamp, which requires a medium or heavy vehicle licence. It is full time, 5 days a week, averaging 35–40 hours. Responsibilities

  • Drive staff safely between Kutchan and Hirafu on a set schedule
  • Keep the bus on time
  • Daily pre-drive inspections and reporting damage or maintenance issues
  • Clear snow around and on the bus and warm it up before departure
  • Be flexible with hours so the driving roster is always covered

Requirements

  • English
  • A valid driving licence; holders of a foreign licence also need an International Driving Permit with a Class D stamp (passenger vehicles with more than 8 seats)
  • A Working Holiday Visa (held or eligible), or Japanese residence
  • A clear driving record

  • Driving in heavy snow or ice

  • English/Japanese bilingual
