About the role
Run the operational backbone of a fast-growing smart home technology company. Reporting to the CEO, you'll oversee daily administration and compliance, manage vendors, inventory and site logistics, supervise bookkeeping and invoicing with the external accountant, and handle core HR — onboarding, payroll coordination and records. You'll also support project schedules, client documentation and proposals. Based in Kutchan, with offices in Sapporo and Hakuba and nationwide expansion under way.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily administrative workflows, company policies and local compliance
- Manage vendor relationships, inventory and supply-chain logistics to project sites
- Supervise bookkeeping and invoicing with the external accountant
- Run core HR: onboarding, payroll coordination and employee records
- Support project schedules, service team coordination and client documentation
- Prepare proposals for business development
Requirements
- Three or more years in business operations, administration or office management
- Native-level Japanese (JLPT N1)
- Business-level English
- Legal right to work in Japan
Nice to have
- Previous experience of working in a fast-growing start-up or small business environment.
- Have a working knowledge of Japanese labor laws, social insurance and corporate compliance processes.
- Valid Japanese driver’s license (or an International Driving Permit).
Benefits
- ¥5,400,000–¥7,000,000 per year, based on skills and experience
- 40 hours/week, Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00 with a 60-minute break
- 1-year fixed-term contract, renewal considered on performance and business needs
