About the role
Hands-on installation work on flagship smart home projects across luxury residences, boutique hotels and high-end commercial spaces. You'll route, terminate, label and test control and network cabling, build and wire AV and control racks, configure smart devices, and commission systems on live construction sites alongside site managers and electricians. Based in Kutchan, with projects in Sapporo, Hakuba and nationwide. Full-time, with part-time possible by arrangement.
Responsibilities
- Route, terminate, label and test control and network cables
- Assemble and wire AV/control racks and configure smart devices
- Test and quality-verify systems under construction deadlines; diagnose issues on site
- Coordinate with site managers, electricians and other trades, following site safety standards
- Keep precise records of installations and system configurations
Requirements
- At least one year of technical experience in electrical engineering, IT or AV installation
- Able to read technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Basic understanding of network configuration and control system wiring
- Reliable, punctual and a strong communicator
- Legal right to work in Japan
Nice to have
- Experience with Control4, Lutron or similar automation platforms
- A qualified Japanese electrician license (or a strong interest in acquiring one).
- Valid Japanese driver’s license (or an International Driving Permit).
Benefits
- ¥3,600,000–¥5,400,000 per year, based on skills and experience (part-time paid hourly, discussed individually)
- 40 hours/week, Mon–Fri 8:00–17:00 with a 60-minute break; part-time hours by arrangement
- 1-year fixed-term contract, renewal considered on performance and business needs
- Immediate start
- Three-month probation
