About the role
Make sure every guest walks into a flawless room. As Room Checker you'll inspect rooms after housekeeping — cleanliness, linen, amenities and set-up — flag maintenance issues, and work with the housekeeping team to keep standards consistent across the season. A good fit for detail-oriented people with housekeeping experience, or those keen to learn. Training provided.
Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms for cleanliness, hygiene and presentation
- Check linen, amenities and room set-up
- Spot and report maintenance or housekeeping issues promptly
- Suggest improvements to room presentation
- Work closely with the housekeeping team on quality
Requirements
- Valid Japanese working visa
- Conversational English
- Housekeeping, hotel or cleaning experience — or willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work weekends and holidays
Nice to have
- Room inspection or supervisory experience
- Resort hotel experience
- Driving licence (Japanese, international, or foreign with official Japanese translation)
- Conversational Japanese
