About the role

Ski Japan Travel's Property Management team in Hirafu, Niseko, is hiring Snow Clearing Staff. You will clear snow by hand and with snow blowers at the properties Ski Japan manages and at some staff accommodation, including entrances, roofs and balconies between guest check-outs and check-ins, working with international and Japanese colleagues. It is full time, 5 days a week, averaging 36–40 hours (more from late December to mid February). Snow-driving training is provided. The hourly rate is set at interview. Responsibilities

  • Clear snow by hand
  • Keep property entrances, walkways, roofs and balconies clear between guest check-out and check-in
  • Operate snow blowers to clear accumulated snow
  • Work as a team with international and local Japanese staff

Requirements

  • English (English/Japanese bilingual is an advantage)
  • A driving licence issued in Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Monaco or Taiwan, or an International Driving Permit under the 1949 Geneva Convention
  • A Working Holiday Visa (held or eligible)
  • Physically able to work outdoors with a shovel

Nice to have

  • Previous ski resort experience
  • Snow clearing, trade or manual handling experience
  • Face-to-face customer service experience
